Influential Women is a media and editorial platform recognizing women in leadership across industries. We publish Influential Women Magazine, a periodical registered with the Library of Congress under ISSN 3069-7018. We produce the Influential Women Podcast, and we run masterclasses and recognition programs for women building careers and companies. Founded in 2023 and based in St. Petersburg, Florida, we work with executives, founders, creators and subject-matter experts whose work deserves a wider audience. At SheEO we are here to transform ourselves and systems by collectively working on the World's To-Do List. We started in Canada in 2015 to demonstrate a radically redesigned model to get capital (all forms of capital) into the hands of women and non-binary innovators. At the time ~3% of venture capital and 4% of bank loans went to women. It has since backslid even further with COVID exacerbating deeply biased systems and structures. Over the years, SheEO has grown to 5 countries (Canada, US, New Zealand, Australia, UK) and evolved to formally recognize and support non-binary individuals as Activators and Ventures. Our collective purpose has also grown - from funding entrepreneurs to also shifting our mindsets, decolonizing ourselves, rooting in Indigenous wisdom and racial justice, and using our power to build equitable systems. To date, we have funded 100+ brilliant innovators and we are creating ecosystems wherever we operate to ensure those who have been put to the margins are supported to co-create a world that works for all.
