Jothashilpa Information

Jothashilpa Studio Limited is a centre for traditional and contemporary arts in Bangladesh. Since 2016 we have worked with nearly 1,000 artisans across 15 districts: women embroiderers, jamdani weavers, cinema banner painters and more. Artisans are paid directly and on fair terms. There is a striking gap between local artisans and the modern market. We aim to be the platform that connects them, pairing traditional craft with contemporary design. For companies, institutions and cultural organizations, we make corporate gifts and custom collections: welcome kits, conference kits, recognition gifts, and gifts for delegations and milestones. Jamdani, nakshi, handwoven textiles and heritage gift boxes can be adapted with your branding, packaging and story cards.
