Jordan Sands was formed to responsibly develop natural resources to propel energy independence in America. As the newest member of the Coughlan Family of Businesses, Jordan Sands continues the 135 year mining legacy of the Coughlan famliy in Mankato, Minnesota. With a rich history of strong community relationships, the company is a founding member of the Minnesota Industrial Sand Council and is involved in the development of the Minnesota State Standards for silica sand mining, including standards for air quality and reclamation The company will produce only the highest grade sands from the Jordan Sandstone formation. Finished products will inlcude 20/40, 30/50, and 40/70 cuts. With direct access to the Union Pacific Railroad and transload access to the Canadian Pacific, Jordan Sands is uniquely positoned to serve the fastest growing shale plays in North America.
