Jordan Atomic Energy Commission was established in 2008 to transfer, develop and promote the peaceful uses of nuclear energy. Jordan nuclear program is aimed for peaceful purposes and it is based on the following goals: Exploitation and exploitation of natural nuclear resources located in Jordan, primarily uranium. Developing the capacities and human cadres necessary to implement the Jordanian nuclear program. Strengthening the infrastructure of nuclear science and its applications in education, scientific research, and community service. Building a nuclear power plant for the production of electricity and desalination. Strengthen cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency and countries with nuclear expertise.
