Jones Mortuary was initially founded in Lower Lake, California. Finding a demand for mortuary services in the Lakeport area, Herbert Jones established a second location in Lakeport in 1907. The mortuaries continued under the family name after their deaths. The mortuaries were inherited by their son, Alden Jones in 1974. In 1999 Keystone of California purchased both mortuaries. Jones Mortuary in Lakeport remains the site of Lake County's only crematory. Even though the Jones Family no longer own the mortuaries, we still take pride in preserving the small town atmosphere and dependable service.
