A forward thinking Social Enterprise, listening organisation, learner centred, qualified tutors, excellent learner successes Joining Communities is a preferred provider of digital skills learning, preparation for work and confidence building. We have an excellent track record for helping people develop the confidence and build the skills needed to prepare for work Joining Communities is a not-for-profit Social Enterprise based in the Wigan borough, is a holder of the Social Enterprise Mark and has provided a community based service since October 2010. Regular meetings with our stakeholders provides ensures we are informed adequately to maintain a flexible approach to learning opportunities to match the needs of our learners and provide a service that is fit for purpose. With a footfall of in excess of 1,000 people per year attending our centre to use the computer drop-in suite or attend one of our many courses the need for a listening ear is of the utmost importance. As an organisation creating a social impact, our activities are financed through funding streams of learning & employment contracts for example, Adult Education Budget (AEB) and UK Online (DWP and BIS). Through these activities we continue to do what we do so well Joining Communities changes the way you learn. We start from the learner and work back to create inspiration in your experience. With Joining Communities, learn how you want to, at your pace and in your time.
