Join SAM is a digital moneybox where children and their families can have fun saving money, earning rewards based on challenges, and also learning about money...all in a safe, secure environment. We thrive on helping children and their families become moneysmart, and are revolutionising the way they save money. We are not a bank (oh, we are so much cooler than that!). We are simply passionate about giving children a grounding in financial education so that they'll make better money-based decisions in adulthood. After a successful first investment round, Join SAM launched in beta form in 2013, and is proving to be a disruption in the financial services marketplace by bringing new savings opportunities for children and their families. We are demonstrating sustained growth and interest among the investment community, the media, and by organisers of innovation events. Already working with close to 200 of the UK's best retailers, a number of strategic partnerships with major organisations are now in place. We are also supported by PwC's global accelerator programme. In short: a brilliant idea! We're creating a bit of noise too: * featured as "best new product" in Web User, the UK's largest circulating digital magazine * likewise a "best product" chosen by Pocket-Lint * Websummit 2013. Shortlisted to compete for best global start-up of 2013. * Million pound start-up. In the penultimate round for - the last 20 start-ups from 1,000 - competing for the £1m prize. * PwC - rolled out to all their UK staff to generate support & feedback for our service. * Presented Join SAM at the Middle East's leading digital event. * Featured and chosen as a lead innovation company at Digital Shoreditch, the UK's biggest digital event. * Finalist with the Nominet Trust's award and participant in their Digital Edge Challenge for young people.
