Johnson Design Group (JDG) is a full-service architectural firm specializing in the master planning, design, and execution of commercial, residential, institutional, and educational projects of all scales. Founded in November 2009 by Warren Johnson, following his accomplished career as a Design Principal at major firms and Co-Founder of Johnson Atala Associates. Over the years, JDG has steadily expanded its portfolio across the healthcare, hospitality, and multifamily sectors, with projects spanning India, Egypt, Russia, and Trinidad. In 2012, the firm partnered with a Houston-based practice as its sixth studio before later returning to independent operations with a renewed focus on smaller-scale projects. The COVID-19 pandemic marked a turning point, prompting JDG to sharpen its focus and successfully secure a number of multifamily and mixed-use projects throughout Texas, including the fast-growing Build-to-Rent (BTR) market. At JDG, we place clients at the heart of every project. We believe great design begins with listening, crafting thoughtful, site-specific solutions that are rooted in context and purpose.
