Joe Brown was considered the foremost rock climber and mountaineer of his generation, and perhaps the greatest all round mountaineer ever. The Capel Curig shop opened a couple of years later and over the years the shops have earned the reputation of being among the best specialist climbing equipment and outdoor gear shops in the UK. Our new shop"The Corner" opened in April 2010, it specialises in footwear with a professional boot fitting service, travel equipment, family outdoor & gear for kids. Our latest store 'The Mountain Shop" opened at Pen Y Pass in the summer of 2010 and carries a range of emergency essentials for the hill.
