Jocks & Nerds was a men's cultural style title founded in 2010 by Marcus Agerman Ross. Published four times a year, the magazine covered a range of topics including cinema, music, fashion, the arts and culture. Passionate about bringing back the lost values of true journalism, Jocks & Nerds researched and created all its own content. Believing that culture exists within the real word - not manufactured by marketeers or committees - the distinct editorial voice of the magazine commissioned imagery only ever photographed on location and never employed professional models. Focused on interesting and unique individuals that the editorial team believed to be driving and influencing culture, Jocks & Nerds was proud to celebrate personality, individualism and genuine drive and ambition in the wealth of exciting people covered in the magazine. After 24 issues, the magazine decided to call time in autumn 2017 as the media landscape shifted away from independent journalism and more towards short-form, prescriptive, mobile-friendly soundbite fodder.
