JiTiBa is a Dutch cleantech startup developing a sustainable solution for the growing water-quality challenge in the Netherlands and Europe. Our algae pearls are designed to treat wastewater by capturing nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus. The technology aims to complement existing treatment processes while enabling the recovery of biomass for potential applications such as biochar and biogas. We are developing the solution for applications in wastewater treatment, agriculture and industry, with the broader objective of preventing pollution from reaching rivers and other natural water systems. Laboratory testing and prototype systems have demonstrated nutrient uptake. We are now advancing our proof-of-concept systems and investigating the potential capture or removal of heavy metals, pharmaceutical residues, PFAS and other micropollutants. Our ambition is to combine environmental impact with practical value for water users: cleaner water, more efficient treatment and improved compliance with increasingly stringent water-quality requirements. JiTiBa and its founders have also received recognition through several innovation award nominations. π Letβs work together towards cleaner and more resilient water systems. π§ info@jitiba.com π www.jitiba.com #WaterTechnology #Cleantech #WastewaterTreatment #Microalgae #CircularEconomy #WaterInnovation #Sustainability
