Established in 1939. The Original Maxwell Street Polish Sausage and Pork Chop sandwiches. World Famous! Jim's Original started almost 70 years ago, when a young, bright-eyed immigrant named "Jimmy" arrived in Chicago. Here, he began working at his Aunt's hot dog stand & eventually took it over. He piled succulent polish sausages high on the grill & made the sandwich as we make it today, with sweet grilled onions & a smear of mustard. There has never been a pleasure as great and as simple as taking a bite into one of Jimmy's original sandwiches.
