Many earth retaining structures such as bridge abutments, culverts, tunnels, spillways, and the various types of retaining walls in North America and around the world are aging and in need of maintainable/serviceable options and/or replacement. Failure to provide proper Hydrostatic Pressure Relief results in water being trapped behind these structures causing erosion, structural pressure, and eventual failure.
