J.E.S.S.I.C.A. Cares (Journey to becoming an Extraordinarily, Strong, Successful, Individual with Courageous, Aspirations) is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization founded in 2010. We focus on enriching the lives of Muslim teen girls ranging in ages 12-22. Low self esteem is at the root of many poor decisions and behaviors young ladies manifest in their daily lives. Young Muslimah's today face difficult challenges like never before due to the negative portrayals of Muslim women in the media; thus causing a negative sense of self worth. At J.E.S.S.I.C.A. Cares, we offer unique empowering programs filled with opportunities for Muslim teen girls who are at a crossroad in their lives. The girls participate in powerful life changing workshops, summer empowerment retreats and exercises that foster positive behaviors. J.E.S.S.I.C.A. Cares helps Muslimahs step out into their authentic selves by encouraging them to connect more strongly to our creator, themselves and those around them. By doing so, they become a role model and wayshower so that others Inshaa'Allah will do the same and contribute to the happiness of their community.
