Jerry Jam Information

Jerry Jam is the North East's best loved music festival, celebrating the life of Jerry Garcia and the music of the Grateful Dead. Jerry Jam began in 1996 as a small gathering of friends paying tribute to the life of Jerry Garcia and the music of the Grateful Dead. After 5 years the gathering had outgrown the Barn where it began, in Bethlehem, NH. It seemed that maybe the Jam had run its course. That's when the power and passion of community rose up! Friends of the founder offered their larger properties to keep the vibe alive. This is when Jerry Jam began its transformation from a very small, one-day gathering of 50 or so friend, to a full-on, multi-day music festival, now with over 2,000 kind souls attending. We believe it is our humble beginnings and slow growth that make our festival unique. We have capped our attendance at 2,500 to to maintain that "down-home", grass roots, organic atmosphere. We strive to keep Jerry Jam family friendly. All of the organizers have children that have grown up with Jerry Jam. To maintain this atmosphere we ask attendees not to overindulge! This is a BYOB event, but we have very low tolerance for un-family-friendly behavior. Let the MUSIC be the drug!
