Jendens Information

Jendens was formed in 2009 and received authorisation in early 2010. The company was founded by Kim Richardson, who was formerly head of Broking at Mirabaud Securities in London. The ethos behind Jendens is the desire to return to traditional values in investment banking, where the requirements of customers are paramount and the relationship between Jendens and its clients, both corporate and investing, is one of true partnership with longevity being far more important than short term opportunistic revenue generation. This approach has, sadly, been eroded in the recent past and Jendens has been formed to return to the style of merchant banking in London of the early 1980’s. Jendens offers a full service stockbroking capability through sales and trading, sector research, investment strategy and asset allocation, corporate finance, corporate broking/equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and fund management and advisory services. Investment clients are both institutional – both traditional and hedge funds – and high net worth individuals and sector specialisation is currently on cleantech, TMT, biotech, natural resources and property although this will expand as Jendens grows. The team is currently some 25 people, but this is likely to rise to up to 45 during 2010, and comprises a mixture of very experienced market professionals and a team of younger, bright individuals. The collective market knowledge, experience, deal capability and contact base is unrivalled for a firm of the size of Jendens. Jendens is based in Mayfair, is regulated and authorised by the FSA and is a member of the London Stock Exchange.
