Babbitt Bearing Repair and Manufacturing J.D.'s has been keeping our customers on line and running for over 20 years. Quality work and service is the base of our business that has placed us as a leader in the bearing industry specializing in quick turnarounds. We serve plants all around the US and have begun to expand internationally. Quality Work Quality is our number one concern. A full incoming inspection is performed on all incoming parts form which a work scope is created identifying any possible problems with a bearing. Once in house repair work is completed, QA reviews each product. From pressure testing a fan bearing, performing blue checks on tilt pad bearings to the mandrel, recording meg readings on an insulated bearing, or setting an offset, quality is always verified and recorded before your product goes out the door. All products are spuncast using only traceable, certified, VIRGIN babbitt. Whether your application calls for TEGO STAR or GRADE 2 ASTM babbitt we can deliver. Full outgoing reports including material certs, UT reports, and final inspection reports are sent with every job. Quality Service We understand that in today's market of quick start ups and shut downs you need to be ready at a moments notice. J.D.'s has someone on call 24/7/365. We will always exceed your expectations with 24 hour turnaround service on turbine bearings,generator bearings, and thrust pads. You will not be waiting on bearings when your schedule is tight. If you are in the motor industry, bearings up to 5" can be turned around in 8 to 12 hours resulting in your delivery of a motor ahead of you competitors. We are able to ship many "thin shell" bronze bearings that cannot be reworked within hours as we keep stock that is pre-spun awaiting ID/OD sizing. With our two shifts we can handle any size job and will not miss ship dates. Spare Bearings For motors that cannot be down we have the capabilities to build you a spare set. We will reverse engineer your current bearing and will provide you a print for approval before proceeding. All new bearings will come come with material certs for the base material as well as the babbitt. Shop Capabilities We have 18,000 square ft of floor space with another 7,500 being added this year. With the new expansion, we will have 4 spin cast machines with capabilities of handling up to 10,000 lbs and up to 60" OD parts with ease.
