JCat Group Information

JCat Group helps leaders build trust in a world that's stopped believing in institutions. Most executives sound like press releases. Their posts get polished into oblivion, their talking points feel rehearsed, and their "authentic" moments land flat. Meanwhile, legacy newsrooms keep defending a definition of journalism their audience abandoned years ago. Both have the same problem: trust moved. From institutions to individuals. From polish to proof. From authority to accessibility. JCat Group was founded by Jill Manuel, who spent 20+ years running award-winning newsrooms (Peabody, duPont-Columbia, Murrow, Emmy) and learned how to earn attention from audiences with every reason to tune out. That discipline, clarity over jargon, proof over polish, is what the firm brings to every engagement. For executives and founders: ✔️ Ghostwriting and thought leadership that sounds like you, not your comms department ✔️ Voice development and executive coaching ✔️ LinkedIn strategy and content systems that turn expertise into consistent visibility ✔️ Positioning: getting clear on what you stand for and how to say it For news organizations: ✔️ Digital transformation strategy for creator-era audience behavior ✔️ Leadership coaching and team development ✔️ Short-form video and platform strategy ✔️ AI-supported workflows that free journalists to do journalism Clients span finance, governance, real estate, health, tech, and media. The throughline: smart people who know they should be more visible but haven't figured out how to do it without sounding like everyone else. Jill also writes The Trust Shift, a newsletter on why credibility collapsed and what's replacing it, and the TV NewsCheck column What TV News Preserves.
