JBF RAK LLC is the leading manufacturer of polyethylene terephthalate (“PET”) polymer resin in the Gulf Region. JBF RAK manufactures two broad types of PET products – PET chips (“PET Chips”) and related biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate (“BOPET”) packaging film (“BOPET Film”). PET is a thermoplastic polymer used in synthetic fibres, beverage, food and other liquid containers. It is used widely for its strength, ductility, stiffness and hardness. BOPET Film is one of the principal products used by the flexible packaging industry due to its high tensile strength, chemical and dimensional stability, transparency, reflectivity, gas and aroma barrier properties and electrical insulation. Applications for flexible packaging include labels, adhesive tapes and wrappings for food, tobacco, textiles and consumer products. JBF RAK produces 360000 TPA of finest Bottle Grade PET Resin, and 72000 TPA of BOPET Film under the brand name ARYAPET.
