Jazz Generation Information

Jazz Generation generates musical performance and educational opportunities for all generations of musicians and audience members. Our three distinct programs take our communities on a journey from first learning about jazz (Jazz Discovery Program) to studying and performing it (Jazz Standard Youth Orchestra) and finally to becoming a professional practitioner (KEYED UP!). In 10 short years, we've given more than $2Million directly to more than 2,000 musicians annually; reach more than 75K audience members annually; helped more than 100 mom-and-pop style venues in all five boroughs present jazz/blues music; and reached more than 1000 students annually through our youth programs.
