Jamive — formerly JusticeBot Information

In 2018 — four years before most people had even heard of ChatGPT or generative AI — we launched JusticeBot, an AI legal assistant on Facebook Messenger. We started with a simple belief: knowing the law is the first step to solving a legal problem — and no one should miss that step because help is too expensive or too far away. JusticeBot grew to serve over 38,000 people and answer 99,000+ legal questions across multiple countries, creating $1.46M in value for our communities. But information alone was not enough. People needed verified answers from real professionals. Professionals needed sustainable tools to keep helping. And communities needed a place to find not just answers, but activities, resources, and meaningful connections. So JusticeBot became Jamive — from Jamii (Swahili for "community") + -ive ("of the nature of"), meaning "of community." Today, Jamive is the community platform where verified professionals, empowered by AI, provide trusted help — because 5.1 billion people around the world still can't get professional help when they need it. We're a team with experience in international human rights, refugee protection, government, and UN agencies — paired with AI engineers who started building this seven years before everyone else. Operating in Canada, Uganda, and the DRC. We work in many languages, across borders. Whether you need help right here, or trusted support back home — no one should navigate a tough situation alone. Real help. Real fast.
