Our award winning restaurant offers a modern dining experience in the heart of Belfast City Centre, minutes away from the Grand Central, The Fitzwilliam and Belfast City Hall. We offer the freshest, locally sourced produce in our a la carte and set menus, which run alongside an exciting wine list, with an extensive collection of Irish Whiskeys. Owned and operated by Chef Niall McKenna since 2003, Niall is actively involved in running the restaurant and producing great food every day with his team, Chef Ryan Stringer and General Manager Paul Vaughan. James St has a modern, contemporary feel with bar area running the length of the restaurant, making it glamorous and unique, it's the perfect place to sample Northern Ireland’s finest cuisine. The chefs create great food by combining classic cooking with the best locally sourced produce, serving up signature dishes Guinness Wheaten, Dundrum Crab & Chilli Linguine, Strangford Lough Bouillabaisse, Tyrone Chateaubriand and Sticky Toffee Sundae. Many of the signatures dishes are staples and everyone dining should try these at least once. Our set menu runs alongside the A La Carte menu and our Sunday Roast Menu is a firm favourite of our customers. James St has two private rooms accommodating from 20 to 50 guests. These are great venues for social and corporate entertaining. Niall McKenna operates Waterman, which offers a unique and distinct dining experience, combining great hospitality with great food. Located in Belfast's Cathedral Quarter, Waterman houses a cookery school, a bistro and a number of private dining rooms accommodating from 10 to 90 guests seated and more for standing receptions. To celebrate 21 years back in Belfast cooking, Niall has compiled 140 of his favourite recipes from his restaurants over the years in his first cook book, What's It All About?
