Commission in the U.S. Army Reserves (Worked as a letter carrier & letter carrier supervisor trainee (204B) for the United States Postal Service, Was part of an Employee Involvement Team, devised by the National Association of Letter Carrier AFL-CIO & U.S.P.S. management to help improve labor relations in the workplace. Also served in the Army Reserve as a cadet (being in the R.O.T.C. program), attended classes full time at Santa Monica City College, & served as an elected member of the Los Angeles City, Community Action Board.)

Also taught enlisted personnel about personal banking practices, & tours of the area to familiarize troops to the new area...one tour was featured on NBC, & worked on the Sun Bowl 21 gun salute for General of the Army Omar Bradley, USA, which was featured on CBS TV..)

Hitch-hiked from Siganola, Sicely, through the entire length of Italy & in to Austria on one vacation, into Paris, France on another...& throughout West Germany whenever possible.)
