In 2008, for the first time Jakob Schlaepfer is presenting a textile collection for interior decoration under its own label. With a feel for the spirit of the times, the design team at Jakob Schlaepfer under the leadership of Martin Leuthold and Michele Rondelli in St Gallen creates trendsetting fabrics that will inspire fashion designers, architects, interior designers and an exclusive clientèle. The impetus comes not only from new ideas in colour and design; it is also triggered by continuous technical progress. Jakob Schlaepfer is an “industrial manual manufacturer”, combining traditional embroidery techniques with constantly developing know-how: an ever-increasing pool of ideas which Jakob Schlaepfer draws on in order to keep up the momentum in textile design. Acclaimed with prestigious international awards, the design team at Jakob Schlaepfer continously gets involved to collaborate in exceptional projects.
