The Jackson County Ambulance Service (JCAS) is a modern, advanced and basic life support capable medical service based in Carbondale. Additional ambulance bases are in Murphysboro and Ava, Illinois. The mission of JCAS is to provide a quality environment and a secure and superior quality of life through the provision of public education, emergency medical services, and rescue services, to those who live, visit, work, or invest in Jackson County.
