BENETEAU's story began in 1884 in Croix-de-Vie, in the West of France. That year, Benjamin BENETEAU (1859-1928) decided to create the boatyard whose eponym would give birth to the first fishing boats. 130 years later, his visionary spirit is still central to BENETEAU's philosophy. Our current fleet encompasses aluminium, steel, displacement, semi-displacement and the revolutionary Fast Displacement Hull Form. Progressive innovation is at the heart of the brand, and our D&D team of engineers continually strive to improve hull efficiency and develop more sustainable yachts. Our 4.4-hectare shipyard located in Oss has nine sheds, five of which are dry docks. Each year, over four million parts are used in the meticulous construction of up to eight yachts. In one of the most modern shipbuilding facilities in the world, every aspect is geared towards achieving exceptional standards of engineering and the highest level of Dutch quality yacht construction.
