Following the recession in 2012/2013 the government initiated the auto policy and it became increasingly clear that we had to find a brand that had luxurious offerings but was also affordable. It was at this time; we found JAC. JAC is a brand that is right for the Nigerian consumer and so in 2013 the JAC partnership was born. JAC is the perfect answer to satisfying the market needs: It is reasonably priced and has all the available luxurious options. Quickly, we swung into action and signed the agreement with JAC global to represent them in Nigeria, and also become their sole distributor for their passenger cars and light duty trucks. Excited that JAC ticked all the boxes, we launched the vehicles to a limited segment of the market to test drive and the feedback we got was assuring. JAC is not only durable but also extremely suitable for the Nigerian market. During our teething stage, we relied on feedback from our customers and worked closely with the Chinese manufacturer of JAC, to make certain improvements on the vehicles to which they actually did. In summary, one major thing that will ensure the continued success of this brand for us, is to invest highly in other areas of automobile operations to ensure that the vehicles are well taken care off by this we mean aftersales. The Elizade Group had over the years consistently focused on one single brand only; Toyota. Through the Toyota brand, we established a name and a reputation for ourselves and this partnership allowed us entrench ourselves in Nigeria as a household name in quality automobiles made for Nigerian roads.
