The Goss family first established a business in 1977 as Goss Drywall. The original founder Sam Goss started operations that look much different than they do today. There was a main focus on Drywall install, so Sam and a small crew would hang and finish houses in the Polk County area. Being a self motivated person and being driven by his own ambition, Sam expanded Goss Drywall into other scopes that went beyond drywall, such as ceramic tile and metal framing. He was an opportunistic operator striving to meet customers needs by being a yes man which set the trajectory to where we are today. In 2012, the company was restructured and transitioned into J Goss Structures, Inc. and is now being operated by President Joseph Goss. The company is offering an array of services from new home construction to home remodel. Although we offer GC services for the residential market, we operate with a focus in commercial metal framing and drywall throughout central Florida. Since our inception, J Goss Structures has completed an estimated 50 million dollars of work with more than 25 million being in the past 7 years. We are not in the business of having hundreds of customers, but having a small number of select customers that we complete hundreds of jobs with. We have a desire to cultivate relationships, so that they will last for decades to come. Being strategically located in Polk County offers us the ability to service both the Orlando and Tampa markets, which makes J Goss Structures a great asset to nationally recognized general contractors. When a general contractor can service multiple markets while only having to maintain a minimal number of working relationships, it creates a more efficient operation that streamlines the need from multiple subs for multiple markets to one sub contractor. J Goss Structures has experienced escalated growth patterns yet we still remain focused on customer satisfaction and meeting the ever growing needs of our clients.
