J Bikes was established in 2006 as a web-based online beach cruiser store that offered the customers convenient ways to shop for all their beach cruiser needs in the comfort of their own homes. In 2007, J Bikes business quickly grew right along with the beach cruiser trend and their first retail location opened in City of Industry, CA. The shop was petite but the sales volume and customer base was huge. J Bikes quickly became one of the neighborhood's favorite local bike shop, as well as online's among the top 5 beach cruiser store. To offer their customers better pricing, J Bikes separated themselves from other drop-ship bicycle businesses that you still see on the website today and started to ship out their products at their own warehouse facility. By doing so, there was better quality control which led to less warranty issues, less return rates, no drop ship fees paid to the distributors which would've all accumulated to the retail price of the products that the customers had to pay.
