IZED (said eye-zed) is a clothing label for men and women in Pakistan. It began in 2012 as I-Zed, a small Facebook shop, and is relaunching with a new name and a tight range in white, black and denim blue: kurta shalwar, soft-collar shirts, baggy jeans, heavyweight hoodies, a waistcoat, a ready-to-wear pag and a cotton chadra for men; long shirts, wide jeans, straight trousers and a cotton voile dupatta for women. The idea is east and west worn together: pieces that sit in one cupboard and work with each other. The clothes are made in Pakistan by a family-run unit. Fabric and finish come before decoration, and the only branding on the outside is a small IZ embroidered in the same colour as the cloth.
