IWDG Consulting Information

At IWDG Consulting we specialise in a range of consultancy services to meet all of your cetacean survey, monitoring and assessment needs. These include boat and land-based surveys, static and passive acoustic monitoring and photo-id among others. Our work is routinely used by clients to inform Natura Impact Assessments, Environmental Impact Assessments and Strategic Environmental Assessments, and to prepare Marine Mammal Risk Assessments. IWDG Consulting is part of the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group (IWDG). It was formally established in 2015 to consolidate the consultancy work of the IWDG and promote its services and resources. The IWDG is a registered charity (CHY 11163) and limited company (No: 332093) and is “dedicated to the conservation and better understanding of whales, dolphins and porpoise in Irish waters”. All profits from our consulting work go directly to the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group (IWDG), helping to run core activities like coordination of its nationwide Stranding and Sighting Schemes, the preparation of policy and best practice documents and the promotion of whale and dolphin conservation and awareness in Ireland.
