It's The Journey, Inc. (The Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer) Information

It's The Journey's mission is to engage with Georgia’s breast cancer community to increase access to care and reduce disparities in cancer outcomes. In 2024, It's The Journey will officially become the "Georgia Alliance for Breast Cancer." The Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer is our premier fundraising event. Since 2002, the Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer has raised over $19 million to fund 511 grants that provide breast cancer education, screening, early detection, support services, and continuing care for Georgians. Each year at GAABC’S Giving Gala, we celebrate the programs funded by the previous year’s 2-Day Walk, and raise even more money for those programs with an elegant night out on the town! Our Georgia 5K Run for Breast Cancer (Macon) and Georgia Fun Run for Breast Cancer (Athens) are family-friendly run/walk events that celebrate breast cancer patients and survivors while raising funds that help support programs serving communities outside metro-Atlanta. Connecting communities with our mission, our Celebrating Survivors Breakfast series allows breast cancer patients and survivors to enjoy a complimentary breakfast while exploring topics unique to their lives with the help of an expert panel!
