Itemhound is a startup company which provides turnkey RFID solutions for medium to large scale businesses in the Philippines. The company is borne out of graduate students and faculty from the University of the Philippines. The team's combined expertise in RFID hardware and software applications allows the company to develop vertically integrated RFID solutions. Itemhound services will include both RFID reader hardware, tag selection, antenna configuration as well as the IT backend to tie the products together. The Itemhound team has mastered EPC Gen2/ISO 18000-C UHF RFID from the air interface all the way to the application level. This expertise is borne out of the team's early exposure to the standard. Itemhound engineers have been working on various research and development projects in Gen2 RFID since 2006. This brings a level of competency with Gen2 RFID which is unmatched in local industry. Itemhound can deliver custom designed hardware and software platforms for any business need. As part of the academe, the team has conducted studies and constructed RFID deployments for clients ranging from NGOs to multinational corporations.
