It Does Matter is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) that began as an awareness campaign launched in 2024 to raise awareness of non-contact sexual offences and the importance of reporting them. The campaign was developed in memory of student Libby Squire, who was raped and murdered in 2019. Her killer was found to have a history of non-contact sexual offending and Libby's tragic death highlights the serious risks posed by these behaviours. Our Purpose and Mission We exist to: - Advance education around non‑contact sexual offences - Improve public safety by encouraging reporting and understanding risk factors - Promote responsible citizenship, by supporting communities to challenge harmful behaviours. How We Work We collaborate with police forces, local authorities, educational institutions, specialist organisations and survivor‑advocates. Together, we raise awareness, support prevention and help create environments where women and girls are safer.
