With less than 10% of our country utilizing the benefits of eCommerce, in the year 2013, we evolved iStreet Bazaar – an internet bazaar for Bharat. iStreet Bazaar is a physical retail store in your area assisting a Common Man to leverage the benefits of the online ecosystem. Few inherent reasons like a reach to the last mile, education (know-how), delivery challenges, payment options, etc. prompted us to innovate and adapt. To take the benefits of eCommerce to the last mile of India, we have converted the local neighbourhood stores, spread across India, into virtual inventory stores. We have over 13,000 partners across western India. India just doesn’t adopt technologies and processes the way they operate elsewhere around the world. Every project must improve the lives of common people. Micro & Small Retailers (MSR) who are the king of retail are struggling to survive due to disruption by eCommerce. Their problems are – capital, risk, space. We have modelled our business in such a way where these MSRs are able to address all the three major issues/problems and success would depend on their hard work and wisdom. We work with the slogan with these MSRs – Aur Kamao Bahut Kamao whereby they can improve their lives. There is another side too – common people of India. They should be left out from the benefits of technology development. We believe that if people are able to save money they can live better. We help them to save money by empowering their local neighbourhood MSRs with great assortment at a great price.
