It should clearly understood that the traditional server, network, desktop relationship has now gone i.e. servers, desktops and laptops that are based on spinning disk are now dinosaurs waiting to die. The market today is now servers, desktops and laptops with single or multiple Solid State Drives (SSD ~ SAS & SATA). This also means that added storage in the form of NAS or SAN with spinning disk is also being displaced as SSD is capable of holding the complete customer applications in cache on the server, desktop, or laptop via a network. So this means your accounting, manufacturing, project management and other applications can now be held in flash disk or arrays in the server and can be quickly accessed on LAN or WAN or via Secure Cloud based technology. So today a customer needs a good server and the ISTORAGE range of servers cater from SOHO, SMB, SME, and Enterprise. These cache based SSD servers provide at least double the performance over older technologies. We now add Archiving Spinning Disk to the Server as an Appliance. Any data that changes on the servers, desktops, laptops, notepads, mobiles is now backup up to separate partition on these devices and then hived off daily (singularly or multiple times) to the Archiving NAS~ SAN Appliance on a LAN. We add additional Archiving NAS~ SAN Appliances to the system to ensure full data protection across a WAN and via a Secure Cloud Service (which could also be based at your ISP or ASP or other site at least 100 Miles 160 Kilometres) away from your central site. So typically a sensible user will use three Archiving NAS~ SAN Appliances to ensure full protection. Each branch and region would logically also each have an Archiving NAS~ SAN Appliance. The archiving process is automated with checks and balances built into the software to ensure for example that the server, desktops, ...
