Safety of remote pilotage in intelligent fairway is a use case supporting development of ISTLAB for testing and validation aiming to find out how future user interface for remote pilot should be configured. ISTLAB is not aimed to act as a user interface for any single maritime application, be them autonomous or other types of novel solutions, but to support researchers in understanding how such environment should be configured. Plasticity of ISTLAB provides functional research platform for other maritime domain developers.
