ISSNAF Information

ISSNAF is a volunteer-based organization with the mission to connect, empower and celebrate the Italian Intellectual Diaspora in North America. 501(c)(3) nonprofit. ISSNAF has a network of over 3500 Italian scholars, researchers, and technologists in NA in all disciplines. The ISSNAF CHAPTERS support the mission in their geographic and thematic area, through networking/educational events in partnership with local organizations. Local Chapters: - Bay Area - CAIF (Fermilab) - DMV - DC, Maryland, Virginia - Idaho - Illinois - Los Angeles - New York - Québec - PND - Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware - PNW - Oregon, Washington - San Diego - SEUS - Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi - WSC -Texas, Lousiana, Oklahoma, Arizona Thematic Chapter - PHS - Physiscians and Surgeons The ISSNAF programs support early career members and Italian graduate and undergraduate students - Mentoring programs accelerate their career development - Mobility experiences through internships and fellowships for research and training experiences in NA. ISSNAF promotes cultural, scientific, academic, and technological cooperation between NA and Italy. Our PARTNERS are academic/research organizations, corporations engaged in science/technology, and government institutions that sustain our programs, receive assistance, or cooperate in synergistic programs. The prestigious ISSNAF AWARDS celebrate our members’ achievements - Young Investigator Awards - Lifetime Achievement Award - Innovator Award ISSNAF was established in 2007 by 36 prominent Italian scientists and scholars in NA, including 4 Nobel Prize winners, under the auspices of the Italian Embassy in Washington DC. ISSNAF is honored to be under the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic.
