In business for more than a half of century, ISPH, a multidisciplinary design and consulting company, has built a solid reputation as an expert in hydroelectric development, as well as in design for dams, power stations, small hydropower stations, civil structures, control and automation systems for power stations, hydro-mechanical and electric equipment. ISPH is Romania’s largest design and consulting company in these areas, and is directly associated to the greatest achievements that have marked the progress of modern-day Romania in terms of hydropower development. 50 years since the drawing up of the first electrification plan, 46% of the technically developable hydropower potential of the rivers in Romania is turned into account; at present, Romania has over 150 hydropower stations in operation, with a total installed capacity of about 6000 MW. Starting from 1970, ISPH has been providing its services on the international market, by itself as well as in collaboration with some of the largest companies such as Lahmeyer, Energoprojekt, Mahab-Ghodss, Electricite de France, Temelsu etc.
