ISOFOTON is committed to sustainable development: Through its corporate vision, ISOFOTON emphasizes the social benefits of its products, which contribute to the environmental conservation of our planet, in addition to improving the lives of people in underprivileged regions where solar power is the only means to access to drinking water and electricity. For instance, when announcing its 50MW pv plant project based in the parish of Calderón near to Quito (Ecuador), ISOFOTON confirmed that this project was directly linked to a corporate social responsibility plan to improve the area's infrastructure and access to the photovoltaic plant as well as supplying clean energy to a health center and a school. ISOFOTON's commitment to Environmental Policy began in 1999, after the Environmental Management System was introduced. That same year ISOFOTON received the Andaluzian Environmental Protection Award (Premio Andalucía de Medio Ambiente, Protección Ambiental).
