Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd. (IBBL) is the pioneer of Islamic banking in Bangladesh. It became incorporated on March 13, 1983 as a public limited company under the Companies Act 1913. It has 36.91% local and 63.09% foreign shareholders. With over 300 branches and 13,000 staffs, IBBL is the largest private banking network in Bangladesh.
