UNITY is the world’s premier resource for spiritual support. Our mission is to help and serve millions of all faiths through publishing and media, events and retreats, and a 24/7 prayer line.
For more than a century, Unity has offered inspiration and education to all.
Whether you consider yourself spiritual but not religious or you’re involved in a church, mosque, synagogue, or sangha, you are welcome here. We live up to our name—Unity.
The Unity movement was founded by Charles and Myrtle Fillmore in 1889. The world headquarters at Unity Village, Missouri, is located in Eastern Jackson County of the Kansas City metro area. Unity provides people around the world with positive, spiritual messages of hope, healing, prosperity and peace. Our core areas of service include:
Prayer Ministry—
Silent Unity®, the prayer ministry of Unity, responds to nearly 2 million requests per year from people who write, call, text, instant message or email for prayer support.
Publishing—
Unity publishes two magazines to inspire and advance personal growth: Daily Word® and Spirituality & Health®. Unity offers hundreds of books, pamphlets and CDs on a variety of spiritual subjects and current events.
Retreats and Events—
Workshops with top names and engaging material, retreats that offer spiritual enlightenment, and special events including weddings and conventions are all a part of that core process.
We help people to peacefully and effectively resolve conflicts in personal, organizational, and political settings. As a nonprofit organization with projects around the world, we were founded by international peacemaker, Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D., author of the best selling book, "Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life."
Certified Trainers are not employees of CNVC but independent professionals who sign an annual agreement. They help to sustain the global impact of the CNVC through the work they do, the donations they make to the CNVC, and the support and accountability they maintain for each other at the highest standards established by Marshall Rosenberg.
The Forgiveness Project provides opportunities and resources for people to explore the complexities of forgiveness.
Rooted in the belief that stories have the power to transform, we collect and share personal narratives that illuminate restorative* responses to harm and conflict. Our mission is to restore and humanise both ourselves and our communities.
Through storytelling and creative methodologies, we collaborate with individuals who have experienced pain and trauma. Our work is a process of exploration and inquiry, creating spaces where meaningful conversations can emerge and grow.
*Restorative narratives are real-life stories that show how people and communities are learning to rebuild and recover after experiencing difficult times. (Source: IVOH)
