CIEE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing peace through people-to-people intercultural exchange. Since 1947, CIEE has built bridges between different people, countries, and cultures through study abroad and international exchange programs, helping over 1.5 million young people develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world. Today, CIEE serves more than 50,000 participants annually through college and high school study abroad, global internship, BridgeUSA, and other international exchange programs. For more than 25 years, American University of Sharjah (AUS) has promoted ideas, research and creative work that have inspired development and change, driven by our core belief that tomorrow matters. AUS was founded in 1997 by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed AlQasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. Located in University City, Sharjah, AUS is a not-for-profit, independent, institution of higher education formed on the American model.
