ISDB FlowTech Information

ISDB FlowTech is the legal successor of SINTEF Brasil, carrying out applied R&D projects with ongoing and prospective customers. ISDB moreover provides consulting and technical solutions to major Oil & Gas players in Brazil and abroad. Main customers include Statoil, Petrobras and Repsol Sinopec. OUR HISTORY: SINTEF, Scandinavia's largest and most important independent research organization, established ISDB as its subsidiary in Brazil in 2011. Following the board's decision in Norway in early 2015, ISDB went through a 2.5-year reestructuring process with the change of the whole management team, leading into the current more focused, lean & flexible set up, ISDB FlowTech. ISDB and SINTEF currently cooperate through a firm Cooperation Agreement. ISDB IS WELL POSITIONED IN THE R&D+I VALUE CHAIN: ISDB is officially accredited by Brazil's Petroleum Agency - ANP (ie., able to receive R&D funds from the 1% Special Participation Clause). Other competitive advantages include: • Partnerships with technology suppliers in R&D projects, or via consulting contracts to support product development; • Access to international suppliers of innovative solutions through a partnership with M&O Partners, which also brings in a network of potential investors from Norway; • Collaboration with top-ranked universities in Brazil. The organization has in-depth knowledge of Multiphase Flow Technology and Flow Assurance, Artificial Lift and Multiphase Production Technology and Flow in Porous Media/Reservoir Technology, which provides scientific and technology solutions to the industry.
