iRonin.IT – Software House Information

iRonin.IT began in 2002 as a one-person IT consulting and contracting business. In 2007 we committed to Ruby on Rails and to the US market, early, when neither was the obvious call. By 2011 we had become a multi-person agency, and at our peak more than fifty people were building software with us. The legal form changed along the way; the work and the people carried through. We have built for startups getting their first product out and for enterprises keeping twenty years of it running — in the United States first, then the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Australia. Web applications, mobile applications, DevOps and systems administration. When clients needed people rather than projects, we built the teams — sourcing, vetting, augmentation, recruitment. We have been the contractor, the agency, the hiring manager and the one carrying the deadline. That is why we can usually tell the difference between an engineer who sounds right and an engineer who is. We are technology agnostic, with strong opinions about what gets the job done quickest. The work has moved again. We help organisations adopt AI without losing a year discovering it does not behave the way the demo did. We build autonomous agent systems that carry real work end to end. We clean up codebases that AI has filled with plausible-looking slop. And still the rest of it: consulting, team building, outsourcing, recruitment.
