IOUR Foundation Information

IOUR Foundation is a Brussels-based public utility foundation whose aim is to promote the development and adoption of Internet standards in the general interest of users through a multi-stakeholder approach. In the last 10 years we have seen the emergence of new, disruptive technologies that will give rise to a new internet: open, resilient and capable of natively offering smart services that are now perceived as essential: decentralised identity, content search, electronic messaging, data storage, cybersecurity, confidentiality, traceability, and many more. With new internationally standardized protocols, we have the potential to build a network that guarantees universal resources and rights for all, fostering systems of organization that are truly decentralized and respectful of fundamental rights. The world is more than ready for digital democracy and decentralized finance, and it’s time the internet delivered.
