Investar is a family owned private holding company with majority and minority investments in companies, real estate and other assets. We are dedicated to finding and developing outstanding investment opportunities in a broad range of businesses, where we can work closely with excellent management teams in order to maximize the value of our shareholders' investment. Our investments today are broadly classified as Venture Capital (VC) and Private Equity (PE):Venture Capital investments are majority owned and controlled businesses, including Flexi Compras, Mi Doctor, Maxi Transfers, etc. These businesses are primarily focused on the Hispanic market in the United States. o Within the VC side of our business, we have clearly built an affinity and expertise serving the Hispanic market in the United States. In particular, we have expertise in multi-unit retail with a focus on finance, grocery and healthcare. Private Equity investments are joint ventures, limited partnerships and publicly traded stocks and bonds. o For our PE investments, we are primarily a limited partner without controlling interest. Currently our non-operating investments are focused on the restaurant, energy, food manufacturing and real estate industries.
