Intrepid Design Information

Intrepid Design is a professional product design (industrial design) business located in Johannesburg, South Africa. While our business has previously offered design consulting services, we are currently moving towards developing high quality in-house products. We strongly believe in user-centered design principles, and further believe that life should be both valued and enjoyed and that this can be influenced by the products we use. We have experience with a variety of media and materials and are always keen to learn about better and more efficient ways both to produce and to use products. We are able to design a wide variety of products in many different materials and using various manufacturing processes. These include, but are not limited to furniture, home ware, lighting solutions, sports and outdoor gear, plastic consumer products, promotional products, and much more. Our projects encompass the complete design process including rough concept sketching, refining of concepts, CAD engineering, computer renderings, producing prototypes or block models in various forms including 3D printing, and finally managing the tooling or manufacture aspects of the project.
