Intersection Estate Winery is founded on a 10-acre vineyard planted at high density on Oliver’s Golden Mile. Since the winery’s creation in 2009, the name Intersection has referred not just to the geography of the vineyard - poised at a critical junction between the Golden Mile, Oliver, and Black Sage growing regions - but also to the philosophical intersections of lifestyle, of cellar and field, and of the art and science of crafting exquisite wines. Focusing on terroir-driven wines that are true to the soil of Oliver’s historic Golden Mile, the team at Intersection takes pride in crafting small-lot wines with enormous character. The vineyard is cultivated with natural, sustainable, and organic farming techniques, and grapevine varieties are matched to the varying slope, aspect, and soil composition to allow even ripening and honest expression of fruit flavours and aromas. Also dedicated to the betterment of wine knowledge and education for all visitors to the valley, Intersection is host to the valley's first public wine tasting school: the Vinstitute. So whether you come to enjoy a cross-section of Merlots from different soil types, to experience a blind-tasting class, or just to chat with the “most educational staff in the valley,” you’ll be glad you crossed Intersection’s path.
