Our story began in 1959, when countries across post-war Europe came together to create a rail Pass that made it easier to cross the continent by train. There was no fixed route. No fixed destinations. The journey itself was the point. Nearly seven decades later, we still believe in travelling deeper, not just further. In visiting the cities you’ve heard of and the villages you haven’t. In striking up a conversation with the person next to you. When this happens, travellers return home with new friendships, greater confidence and a sense of connection to the world. We call this The Interrail Effect. Cross borders. Travel deeper.
